Contra Costa County Fire Explorers

The Contra Costa County Fire Explorer Post 88 was founded in 2011 and is operated by the hard working members of the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District under the authority of Fire Chief Daryl Louder. While Explorer Post 88 may be new, we are continuously growing and striving to be the best Fire Department Explorer post around. With 28 stations located throughout Contra Costa County and around 300 dedicated professional firefighters, we have the resources and support to provide an amazing opportunity for our youth to experience the Fire Service first hand while being able to give back to the community, learn valuable life lessons, and become a part our firefighter family. Our Fire District members take pride in delivering the highest level of service to our citizens and we look forward to passing this honor on to our youth, the future members of the Fire Service. ABOUT THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT: 

The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District is an “all-hazards” organization providing fire suppression, paramedic emergency medical services (EMS), technical rescue, water rescue, and fire prevention/ investigation services to more than 600,000 residents across a 304 square mile coverage area. The District operates 30 fire stations and responds to approximately 45,000 incidents annually.
